It’s has been a while since we’ve been hearing about the Motorola RAZR 2019 with a folding screen. Some reports indicate that the phone will be launched on November 13.

Motorola initiated a media call for an event on November 13, which will take place in downtown Los Angeles. The invitation was sent by Lenovo’s sister company, Motorola. A GIF illustrating the old RAZR’s hinge accompanied by what could be the hinge of the foldable RAZR.

The phone is to have its first debut in the United States, followed by Europe. Previously this year, the Motorola VP had verified the strategies for the release of a folding phone – the RAZR 2019. The new handset might include a flexible screen that folds twice to give RAZR fans a nostalgic feel.

The patent application submitted to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) endorsed the folding smartphone aesthetic of the Lenovo-owned business before its official launch.

Motorola hasn’t disclosed much about its upcoming RAZR 2019 model. But going through the leaks and rumors we would expect it to be a foldable display phone.

Unlike the Samsung Galaxy Fold and the Huawei Mate X, Motorola is targeting the mid-range segment with a new RAZR folding phone. The company seems to presume that it can attract more customers with comparatively affordable prices. It indicates that the Motorola RAZR could have a Snapdragon 710 chipset on board and load a smaller battery to keep device dimensions, weight, and price in check. Remarkably, Motorola RAZR would be a small foldable device instead of a sizeable notebook screen.

The RAZR 2019 is said to house two displays driven by the Snapdragon 710 SoC. It will come in two 4GB or 6GB RAM variants coupled with 64GB or 128GB onboard storage space. It is to have a 2,730 mAh battery.

The overall specifications don’t seem as impressive as the other folding phones. Such as Samsung Galaxy Fold and the upcoming Huawei Mate X. But that might get an overlook since Motorola’s target seems to be the mid-range users.

Expected Price and Availability

The report suggests that the RAZR 2019 should come at a price of $1,500, but it has yet to be verified. We’re to wait until November 13 to find out about its specifications, costs, and availability.

According to the website LetsGoDigital, Motorola RAZR folding phone will launch in Europe after its launch in America in December 2019 or January 2020. The estimated price is EUR 1500 (approx. Rs 1.19,000). This is right in line with what the leaks and rumors suggest about the release map of the Moto RAZR 2019.
