Samsung is reworking its smartphone portfolio in the Indian market to take back the market share it lost to Chinese players. Furthermore, the company launched the new Galaxy A-series lineup while also releasing the Galaxy M-Series online. The company has already launched a few smartphones in the Galaxy M family. And now, Samsung will launch yet another smartphone in the same series. That phone will be the successor to the Samsung Galaxy M40. As per the source, the company could release the Samsung Galaxy M50 in the Indian market later this month. Although the exact launch dates aren’t known, the phone is to officially launch in the country on November 15.

Funnily enough, Samsung seems to be ready to sell the new smartphone through both channels. Both online as well as offline — also at the same time and at the same price. The Galaxy M-series was to be an online exclusive product. But for reasons known to Samsung, it introduced the M-series into the offline market, but with higher margins.

At the moment, not much is known of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M50. But that it will be the successor to the Galaxy M40, we assume the device to have better specifications than that of the M40.

The Samsung Galaxy M40 is currently the top-of-the-range phone in the lineup. It features a 6.3-inch FHD+ Infinity-O Display and is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 octa-core processor. That is combined with Adreno 612 GPU, 6 GB RAM, and 128 GB of internal memory.

The camera has a 16-megapixel sensor on the front for selfies and video calls. The phone comes with a triple rear camera setup that consists of a 32-megapixel primary sensor with an AI scene optimizer and an f/1.7 lens. Next up is a 5-megapixel secondary depth sensor, and lastly an 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens.
