Windows 10 Display Won’t Turn Off: Step by Step Solution

Windows 10 Display Won’t Turn Off

Do you face windows 10 display won’t turn off after I scheduled a defined time problem?

I found earlier today that my Windows 10 display was not turning off at the 3-minute timer that I had scheduled.

I have had no issues with this Windows 10 display-off feature in months.

Rebooted the computer to make sure no Windows upgrades were waiting to be installed that needed to be restarted, yet it won’t work.

The Solution of Windows 10 display won’t turn off after I scheduled a defined time problem:

This is how you were eligible to resolve the major issue

After rebooting failed to resolve your monitor/display problem, I wanted to double-check a few settings.

I have to ensure that one of the Microsoft Windows updates hasn’t restored mine parameters, as this happens from time to time.

First, I have to go to the Control Panel–Hardware and Sound–Power Options.

I have to select the recommended Balanced plan.

It was decided to go for a solution that balances efficiency and energy consumption.

I’m not attempting to put my desktop to sleep.

So I checked that Turn off the display settings was estimated to be 3 minutes.

And it is what I desired, and Turning the desktop to sleep was scheduled to Never

And after that, I selected the Change advanced power settings given link.

I checked that now the Allow wake timers configuration was adjusted to Activate under Sleep.

This causes Windows 10 to wake up from sleep on scheduled events.

I checked that now the Allow wake timers configuration was adjusted to Activate under Sleep.

This causes Windows 10 to wake up from sleep on scheduled events.

I also checked at several other configurations, like the Switch off monitor in the Display area.

And it was programmed for 3 minutes, as I planned.

So far, I’ve just checked that items are set correctly and also that my display was even now not switched off at the required time.

Alright, I’ve made a move. I adjusted the duration from 3 minutes to 1 since I didn’t need to delay 3 minutes for the test.

Then, I started typing Troubleshoot in the Windows 10 Searching column and picked Troubleshoot Settings.

I kept scrolling and chose the power Setting.

At the designated time, my PC display began to turn off, which is awesome.

Fortunately, my sleep setting was still screwed up and adjusted to 30 minutes.

I moved straight to the Control Panel and adjusted the sleep duration from 30 minutes to null, which changes it to Never.

It’s all going well now. I assume it was among the Windows updates.

It triggered this problem because the issue only arose when I rebooted my desktop after such an Automatic update.

Even so, congratulations to Microsoft’s troubleshooter, I was back in operation.

I have to admit, despite hours of struggling Windows Troubleshooter, I haven’t been pleased with this application.

Conclusion:

Most desktop users use windows operating systems around the world.

Particularly those who cannot afford a Macbook and live in a third-world country.

So, many windows users face windows 10 display won’t turn off after I scheduled a defined time problem during their regular work.

I tried my best to solve the Windows 10 display won’t turn off the issue according to my experience.
